This was me, back in Jr. High, dressed up for a piano recital. If ANYONE has a right to feel superior it's me. Just look at this dress! It's amazing. Yet - I remain humble. Even all these years later. How do I do it?

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by. Here’s how it all began…

I bought Mommy Perks back in 2009. The site has grown over the months and years to the point of Global membership, readership and friends. We are a community of parents, business owners, moms/dads/grandparents, teachers and more.

At Mommy Perks, I offer social media campaigns, marketing and branding assistance, reviews and giveaways – for small business owners. These are hard working moms, dads, men and women. Most of them have limited funds for marketing and advertising. That means – they will never been seen on TV.

Many of my clients hope to gain some exposure and SEO by asking bloggers to blog about them. This has become a more affordable way for them to promote: rather than pay $2,500 for a one page ad in a magazine, just HOPING someone will see the ad, they can ship products to bloggers who will review and/or run giveaways. In trade for the free products given to the bloggers, my clients receive a back link, some tweets, a little promotion and hopefully…a few new customers or readers.

Here’s the sad part: many bloggers have taken the products and never blogged. I consider that stealing.

In 2010 I created a list of “Reliable Bloggers” inside the Mommy Perks Blog. That list was so well-used that we decided to buy the URL to go along. My clients are fed up with bloggers who promise a review and don’t follow through. I, myself, got fed up with snooty bloggers who won’t reply to emails or inquiries, when my clients ask them to review or run a giveaway.

At Mommy Perks, my top concern is protecting my clients. I want my clients to have a safe place to locate reliable bloggers who reply, show kindness, don’t display high-school-like snobbery tendencies and folks who know…they are no better than anyone else. We’re all here together, sharing the planet, trying to find our footing and if we can help one another along the way – even better.

For me, it’s all about Relationship Marketing. I strive to build relationships with my clients, with bloggers, with other PR professionals and with anyone else who comes upon my path. Without trust, there can be no solid relationship.

I want trustworthy bloggers to join this site and network/connect with my clients (and other small business owners, also). See?

If that’s YOU, please join!
